Under 85kg Rugby​​​​​​​

AURFC is the unofficial home of Under 85kg rugby, boasting the most teams and players of any club in New Zealand. Played in the full 15 aside format, it offers a social but competitive grade where all players are of a similar size right across the field from prop to fullback. With players with Premier level experience, to those experiencing the game for the first time, the grade caters for all abilities. Above all, this format is about enjoying rugby both on and off the field.

We have consistently entered three or more teams to the grade, all of which play for the hotly contested internal trophy – The Sir Colin Maiden Shield.
