Jerome joiend Varisty out of St Kents in 2002 and played in the Championship winning U21 team that year. Jerome had commitments with the NZ U19s,  NZ U21s and a early introduciton to the All Blacks. The resulted in him not playing too many games for the club, but he has always been a constant figure over the years, whether wearing our socks playing for the Barbarians, supporting the junior club or watching the Premiers.
